‘One Guyana’ Basketball
Pacesetters, Mambas, and the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans amassed victories when the ‘One Guyana’ Basketball League continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue.
Mambas brushed aside the East Coast All-Stars 62-38. Jonathan Pooran tallied 18 points while Shane Joseph was the next best scorer with 11.
Adding eight points each were Raymond Glen and Samuel Thompson.
Trojans downed Panthers 55-46. Malachi Grimmond scored 11 points while Kadeem Peterkin, Anton Fileen, and Leandre Abrams scored 10 points, respectively.
For the loser, Ian Klein and Shaquan Archer scored 13 and 12 points, respectively. Pacesetters dismantled Raiders 101-53. Tafawa Daly led the rout with 27 points, while Joslyn Crawford was the next best scorer with 16 points. Supporting with 10, 10, nine, eight, and eight points, respectively, were William Delgado, Jaleel Duke, Travis Williams, Nathan Saul, and Shawn Chase.
On the other side, Kareem Roberts scored 12 points while Colin Pegillips and Neil Marks scored 10 points apiece.
