An intelligence-led Police operation yesterday by ranks from Special Branch headquarters at the Lapar-kan Wharf resulted in the discovery of 10.55 lbs or 4.79 kilograms of marijuana in a barrel.
A release from the police said that the ranks went to the Larparkan Shipping Company’s wharf located at Lombard and Broad streets, Charlestown, where a search was conducted on a blue jumbo barrel which was sealed and shipped from one Junior Skeete of Brooklyn NY, USA, to Clive James of D’Urban Street, Lodge.
