Guyana women clinched the bronze medal at the Pan American Junior Hockey Challenge, beating Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 in the third-place playoff yesterday at the Sir Garfield Sobers Complex in Wildey, Barbados.

The fixture was a rematch from the earlier group stage, which ended in the identical manner. On this occasion, and following three scoreless periods, Guyana secured the victory as Sarah Klautky etched her name in the score-sheet in the 53rd minute from a penalty corner.
