(Trinidad Guardian) A former special reserve police (SRP) officer was shot and killed early this morning.
He has been identified as Arkim Baker.
According to reports, Baker was at a popular bar on Southern Main Road, Curepe, around 2 a.m. when a gunman approached him, drew a firearm, and opened fire. Baker was struck, collapsed to the ground, and died at the scene.
Homicide officers from the Arouca Bureau, Region 11, are continuing investigations.
