Rambeer Singh, a 47-year-old truck driver from Lot 96 Lima, Essequibo Coast, has been charged with causing the death of Angel Azocar, a 33-year-old male Venezuelan national from Reliance, Essequibo Coast.
The accident occurred in October 2023 at Cullen public road, Essequibo Coast.
The police said in a release yesterday that that the case was heard on Tuesday at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke where the charge was read to the accused. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge, and bail was granted in the sum of $500,000 on the condition that the defendant report to the Anna Regina Police Station every last Friday of each month, pending the trial which will commence on 28th March 2025.
