Memorial held for girl killed in Mabaruma accident

On Wednesday, a memorial walk and lecture was held by family members of  Terensha Pierre, age 10 years, who was struck down on the public road in Mabaruma Township a year ago (March 18th, 2024) and died a day later.

A release from  the police said that the memorial walk began near the Mabaruma Townhall and concluded at the Regional Democratic Council lawn, where a presentation was made by the Headteacher of Hosororo Primary School, and a road safety talk was done by the Regional Traffic Officer, Assistant Superintendent M. Craig.

Among those in attendance were Regional Chairman Brentnol Ashley,  Mayor Trevi Leung, and about 17 teachers with 387 pupils.
