Dear Editor,
It was recently reported that President Maduro of Venezuela had requested to have personal talks with President Irfaan Ali, presumably on the Venezuela-Guyana Controversy. President Ali, because of Venezuela’s continuous aggression against Guyana and its rejection of International Law and the experience of President Maduro’s record of glibly lying and never honouring his promises and undertakings, politely declined.
Venezuela and President Maduro stand completely isolated in their aggression and bullying against Guyana and even their recent friends Russia, China and Cuba are non-supportive of their aggression. Russia, China and Cuba are much older friends of Guyana and remember when Guyana supported them in their time of need.
Maduro thinks that by having fake talks with Guyana will relieve his isolation and weaken the support of Guyana’s friends and allies and give him a free rein to continue his aggression but neither Guyana nor its friends and allies are taken in by his tricks.
His most recent aggression of attempting to have “elections” on Guyana’s territory has already fallen on its face and has exposed his ineptitude and reckless stupidity to the Venezuelan People and driving another nail in the coffin of his demise.
Sincerely,
Paul Validum.
