Gold Cup Playoffs
The Golden Jaguars path to their second appearance at the CONCACAF Gold Cup will commence this evening when they oppose Central American outfit Guatemala in the first leg of their two-match playoff series in Barbados.
History, however, will not be on the side of the Guyanese who are winless against the Guatemalans.
It will be the fourth meeting of the nations, with Guyana sporting an unenviable record of four losses. In the previous meeting, which occurred in League A of the CONCACAF Nations League, Guyana went down 1-3.
