Deondray Clarke, a 25-year-old prison officer from Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice, was arrested on March 19th, 2025 by ranks of Vigilance Police Station and charged yesterday with the possession of 28.4 grammes of cannabis on March 19th 2025 at Lusignan Prison, East Coast Demerara.
The police said in a release that at about 11:30 am yesterday the defendant appeared at Vigilance Magistrate’s Court #1 before Magistrate Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was placed on $100,000 bail. The matter was adjourned to 24th April 2025 for report.
