One Guyana 3×3 Quest Offers Caribbean Teams Historic Path to FIBA World Tour

For Caribbean basketball teams, the chance to qualify for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour has long been an unattainable goal. However, with the introduction of the One Guyana 3×3 Quest, that opportunity is now a reality. Organized by the Guyana Basketball Federation (GBF), the tournament will take place on April 5–6 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, giving regional teams a pathway to the sport’s biggest stage.

Among the 20 teams from 16 countries set to compete is St. Lucia’s Elite Blazers, eager to make their mark in their first-ever Quest event. Led by captain Troy Louison, the team is confident in their ability to perform. Louison, a key figure in St. Lucia’s 3×3 basketball scene, has played in every AmeriCup 3×3 since its inception in 2021 and has gained valuable experience in various regional and continental tournaments. Joining him in Guyana will be his 2022 AmeriCup teammate Andrew Louison, along with Desir Joseph and Sidney Didier.
