Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) registered a dominant eight-wicket victory over Bel Air Rubis in the Georgetown Cricket Association/Georgetown City Mayor and Friends Under-17, 100 overs cricket competition on Saturday. The match, played at GCC’s home ground in Bourda, saw a stellar bowling performance from Rivaldo Pereira and Dhanesh Persaud, who combined for eight wickets to dismantle their opponents.  

Bel Air Rubis, batting first, struggled against GCC’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for just 49 runs in 23.3 overs. Persaud, who showcased his versatility with both seam and leg-spin, delivered an impressive spell of 4-10 from 8.3 overs. Off-spinner Pereira matched his efforts, claiming 4-21 off eight overs, while left-arm spinner Nathaniel Sukhnandan contributed with 1-7 from four overs.
