Clinton Orville, Parmeshwar Persaud and Andy M. Sam-Reddy were among the standout performers when the Association do Shotokan Karate of Guyana conducted their grading examinations at the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) dojo, Thomas Lands.
Orville of Berbice attained the rank of 7th Dan [Shichdan], while Persaud achieved the title of 5th Dan [Godan]. Sam-Reddy attained the title of 4th Dan [Yondan].
Meanwhile, the quintet of Teshana Lake, David Melville, Mahir Rajkumar, Omar Shariff, and Chelsea Benjamin achieved the rank of 2nd Dan [Nidan].
