Afreximbank to build US$180M centre in Barbados

– Guyana stands to benefit Last Monday, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) turned the sod for a US$180 million Afreximbank Africa Trade Centre (AATC) in Barbados, which the bank believes will bring increased trade and investment into the region and from which Guyana stands to significantly benefit.

No second meeting with Mohameds – Hughes

Alliance for Change (AFC) leader Nigel Hughes yesterday rubbished insinuations by the government that he had a second meeting with businessmen Nazar and Azruddin Mohamed, who were sanctioned by the US Treasury Department, and said it was the same one he spoke about three weeks ago when they sought legal advice.
