Demerara Cricket Board launches U-19 Championship

– set to start on Saturday

The Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) launched their U-19 Inter-Association Championship, which is pencilled to commence on Saturday.

This is according to a press statement from the DCB yesterday. The tournament, which will run from April 5th to 11th, will feature five teams.

They are the East Coast, Georgetown, East Bank, West Demerara, and Upper Demerara Cricket Associations. The venues for the event are the La Bonne Intention (LBI), Transport, Farm, and Meten-Meer-Zorg grounds.

The East Bank Cricket Association squad consists of Deonarine Dindial (captain), Sayyad Lakeram (vice-captain), Altaf Rahim, Vamol Lall, Dravid Manohar, Jovind Ducan, Roupie Rajaram, Josiah Lim, Farhan Housain, Yeshua Huston, Solomon Cameroon, Joshua Budram, Vinesh Kalpoo, and Dilshan Latchman.

The East Coast Cricket Association roster comprises Nicholas Shiopersaud (captain), Vickash Wilkinson (vice-captain), Suresh Sugrim, Neeran Bani, Arun Gainda, Saif Ragbeer, Marcel Nandu, Tyriq Walters, Alex Datterdeen, Munesh Outar, Nityanand Mathura, Moin Persaud, Lakeram Sukdeo, and Josh Behari.

Meanwhile, the Georgetown Cricket Association team will comprise Jonathan Van Lange (Captain), Dave Mohabir (Vice-Captain), Jayden Dowlin, Riyad Latif, Shiloh Adams, Ryan Latif, Shamar Apple, Emmanuel Lewis, Wavell Allen, John Persaud, Renaldo Grenville, Dhanesh Persaud, Ravaldo Pereira, Feyaad Leakraj, Romeo Deonarain, Shane Prince. Reserves:

Kaylon Callender, Trilok Nanan, Jonathan Mentore, Stephon Sankar, and Bijan Embleton.

The Upper Demerara team is composed of Russell Anderson (Captain), Elizah Bowen (Vice-Captain), Rusco Anderson, Triston Peters, Errol Alder, Jamel Courtman, Rohit Ramnauth, Marvin Ford, Andy Ramgolam, Raphael Tappin, Jayshawn Clark, Colis Chu, Randy Jason, and Tyrick Henry.

The West Demerara Cricket Association squad consists of Sachin Balgobin (captain), Parmeshwar Ram (vice-captain), Christopher Persaud, Patrice Fraser, Navendra Sankar, Udesh Seetaram, Arvin Suknandand, Tashant Argyle, Joshua Kishundial, Murali Seodat, Chetram Shivpersaud, Kelvin Raymond, Davindra Khan, Shankar Ramesh, and Joshua Isaac Williams. Reserves: Ryidwan Mahase, Shazad Ally, and Andel Austin.
