Defending champion Chase Academy, Waramuri, Dolphin, and West Ruimveldt secured berths to the semifinal round following contrasting wins in the round of 16 when the Milo/Massy Secondary School Football Championship continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Avenue.

Chase Academy made light work of Bush Lot, winning by a 10-1 score. Bryan Wharton recorded five conversions in the 15th, 26th, 35th, 75th, and 85th minutes, while Isaiah Ifill bagged a double in the 17th and 50th minutes.

Supporting with goals in the 10th and 53rd minutes were Nyron Barrow and Neeiaz Baksh. Initially opening the score was an own goal in the second minute. For the loser, Quaency Fraser scored in the 58th minute.

On the other hand, Waramuri downed Charlestown 2-0. Erwin Booker and Orwin Abrams scored in the 26th and 52nd minutes apiece.

Meanwhile, Dolphin Secondary mauled Three Mile 4-0. Collin Frank-David bagged a brace in the 15th and 24th minutes, while his brother Ezekiel Frank-David and Seon Grant scored in the 39th and 67th minutes, respectively.

Likewise, West Ruimveldt schooled President’s College 3-0. Jeremiah Griffith recorded a hat-trick in the 20th, 28th, and 41st minutes.

The semifinal round will commence on Wednesday at the same venue.
