At about 2000h, last night Malcolm Lancaster, 49 years of D’Urban Street, Georgetown, who was a patient at the GPHC, succumbed to burn injuries he had sustained, according to police.
According to a police release, it was reported that on June 24, 2011, Lancaster was set on fire by a woman at Ikawan Backdam, Mazaruni, during an argument. The suspect has not yet been arrested.
Investigations are continuing, police say.
