A 19-year-old was yesterday fined by a city magistrate after being charged over cannabis he was going to “experiment with”.
Trevon Jones appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore charged with having 4 grammes of cannabis in his possession on April 19.
The teen pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred in Georgetown. The court heard that on the day in question Jones was given the cannabis by a friend and was going to experiment with it.
Magistrate Moore subsequently fined the teen $3,000.
