Richard Haniff was the winner of the annual Trophy Stall sponsored golf tournament played Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club course.
Son of veteran golfer and 2011 Guyana Open champion, Fazil Haniff,
Richard, who recorded two birdies on par four holes (5 and 6), ended with a net of 65 from a handicap of 15.
Asrodeen Shaw handicap 18, net 68 was second, Balgobin Ragnauth handicap 27, net 69, third and Fazil Haniff handicap 14, net 70, fourth.
Other winners were Lakeram Ramsundar, nearest to the pin and Avinash Persaud (79) best gross.
At the post tournament ceremony, vice president of the Lusignan Golf
Club (LGC) Patrick Prashad, thanked Trophy Stall’s Managing
Director/Proprietor Ramesh Sunich for his support over the years and said he hoped Sunich would continue to support the sport in the future.
