Around $19M has been disbursed to charities from the proceeds of Cara Lodge’s Quiz night.
A release on behalf of the Quiz organizes said that for over 10 years, the Cara Lodge Hotel has been sponsoring and organizing Wednesday Quiz Nights, during which several teams vie to exhibit their knowledge in a multiplicity of subject matters.
After each month, the monies collected from quiz participants are donated to pre-determined charities which include: Help and Shelter, the Mercy Boys Home, United Women for Special Children, Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre, St John’s Boscoe Orphanage, Ruimveldt Children’s Centre, the Guyana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA), the Cheshire Home and the Red Cross Children’s Home.
The release said that the Cara Quiz Night hopes that even more teams would participate in 2017.
