Fruta Conquerors U20 and the Guyana Police Force [GPF], secured their semi-final berths, following quarterfinal victories in the GFA ‘Stag Beer Revival Cup’, on Sunday.
Staged at the Georgetown Football Club [GFC] ground, Bourda, the Tucville- based unit edged Buxton United U20 by a 1-0 scoreline. Tefon Daly scored in the 14th minute.
Meanwhile, GPF edged Santos 4-3 on penalty kicks, after regulation and extra time ended 2-2. Steffon Ramsay and Kester Dundas scored for the lawmen in the 40th and 65th minute respectively.
For the loser, Orin Yarde bagged a double in the 51st and 76th minute. The semi-final matches will commence on December 21st at the same venue.
At 7 pm, GPF will take aim at GT Panthers, while Fruta Conquerors will oppose home side GFC at 9 pm. The grand finale and third-place playoff will be staged on December 23rd.
