The nation’s most exciting bantamweight fighter, the entertaining Elton ‘The Guyanese Gladiator’ Dharry (23-5-1) is looking forward to another successful year inside the ring as he continues to punch towards a world title crack.
The USA-based power puncher, who turned 33 last month, knows Father Time is undefeated and that the clock is ticking on his prime competitive years.
He is optimistic that 2019 can be the year which enables him to pull up a chair at the table for serious world title discussions.
The 5’ foot 6inch’ orthodox fighter is rated NO.10 on the WBC rankings.
Convincing victories against fighters ahead of him this year and ‘TGG’ can confidently sit at the bargaining table for talks about a world title fight down the line.
Dharry, who won both of his bouts last year via unanimous decision, is on a 20-fight, win-streak and is looking forward to a banner 2019. “My goal is to make a big jump in my career this year. I want to be set on my path to the title. My style is to please the fans and I want to show them exciting knockouts against the best contenders.”
The standout from the Gleason’s Gym added “I would like to stay active and fight as much as possible in 2019. Give me the so called “killers” in the division”.

Note: As of last year, Dharry held the WBC Caribbean (CABOFE) Bantamweight Title, Guyana National Bantamweight Title, IBF Intercontinental Title and WBU Americas Bantamweight Title. He is currently aiming to add world champion to his resume.
