A security guard was robbed on Monday night while on her way to work.
Annila Harriprashad, 35, of Plum Park, Sophia, was relieved of her LG cellular phone, valued $30,000 and $700 in cash during the attack, which was carried out by two men.
The Guyana Police Force said in a brief statement that at about 8.30 pm on Monday Harriprashad was accosted by two men, one of whom was armed with a cutlass. It was stated that the man with a cutlass dealt the woman a blow to her back and his accomplice robbed her.
They subsequently made their escape.
