An ornate vessel which was stolen on Saturday from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Brickdam was retrieved yesterday and it is to be returned today to the Bishop, according to the St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church Face-book page.
Two citizens from the West Demerara were said to have been instrumental in the recovery. CCTV footage showed a man leaving the cathedral with the monstrance.
