The Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) was alive with excitement on Saturday last, as golfers teed off in the DEMLIFE Golf Tournament.
The lush fairways and challenging greens provided the perfect setting for a day of fierce competition, culminating in a thrilling victory for Patrick Prashad, who emerged as the tournament champion with a gross score of 76, a handicap (HC) of 10, and a net score of 66.
Prashad’s outstanding performance saw him not only claim the championship title but also secure the Best Gross award with his impressive 76. Close on his heels was Mike Mangal, who finished second with a gross 77, HC 8, and net 69. Jaipaul Suknanan rounded out the top three with a gross 80, HC 9, and net 71.
Among the other standout performers, Brian Hackett claimed the Nearest to the Pin award, while Mohanlall Dindanauth displayed exceptional power to take home the Longest Drive title.
Speaking on behalf of Demerara Mutual Life Assurance Society (DEMLIFE), Marketing Assistant Jason Khan reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting community engagement through sports.
