Minister of Labour, Joseph Hamilton yesterday led a team to assess the ongoing construction of Exxon-Mobil Guyana’s new headquarters at Ogle, East Coast Demerara.
Accompanying the Minister were Consultant for the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Department, Gweneth King, along with Assistant Chief OSH Officers, Royden Croal and Maxean Bess, a release from the Ministry of Labour said.
Also present were Senior OSH Officer, Darwin Bourne, and OSH Officer, Johana Vaughn. The visit focused on ensuring workplace safety compliance as construction progresses on the state-of-the-art facility, keeping with the OSH Act, Chapter 99:06 Laws of Guyana.
The release said that ExxonMobil Guyana’s new headquarters will feature cutting-edge technological advancements, including a dedicated floor for operational control rooms and monitoring facilities.
“The project reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and workplace safety as it expands its footprint in Guyana”, the release added.
