When will we change the story?

Sunday, September 13th, 2020 Parade Ground George-town was the first scene of another display of weeping and mourning that would continue along the East Coast of Demerara and culminate in Berbice.

A few occurrences this week exacerbated the chaos in Guyana. The world is experiencing transformation because of COVID-19 with the number of cases decreasing in some places while increasing in others.

There has been an upsurge in coronavirus cases in Guyana. As of the time of writing, there have been 250 confirmed cases, 117 recoveries and 14 deaths.

We are not a colony

Has Guyana reverted to the status of a colony? Within the last few months, it is not the first or second time I have asked this question.
