March 8th was International Women’s Day and today we once again recognise women in the technical and vocational field.
Last Friday, women around the world observed International Women’s Day. Some of us were actually involved in activities that recognised this day, others knew of the day but did not observe it in form while many women do not even know such a day exists.
“I hear a lot of people say that you don’t mind your neighbour business and that is better to keep to yourself.
Today I join the Government Technical Institute (GTI) in recognising females in technical and vocational education.
“I don’t think people understand the job of a teacher. You see many persons talking about the holidays we get and we work from nine to three and five days a week.
This week, maybe because of nostalgia or just being thankful in the midst of this life that can be a cesspool at times, I wanted to share three experiences that just demonstrate that there are kind people out there and it is not all bad.
“Most weeks I cannot buy fish nor chicken, it is just rice and whatever little stew I can find.
“I just desperate for a proper house to live in, that is all I dream about right now and I just wish somebody could listen and hear and help we out.
“I really did think like when they get big you know things would get easier because you know I wouldn’t have to do things for them like before and you know we would just live and support one another.
“I have been single for so long that it is now even strange to think about starting a relationship.
“I am just happy that I have made it to 2024.
