A breakthrough for regional food security?

The length of time that it took to conclude the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) setting out the parameters for an initiative designed to enhance T&T food security can perhaps be excused on the grounds that the MOU had to do with making large tracts of local land available to the government of the twin-island Republic.

Business forum to mark GMSA’s 50th anniversary

Chinese will be major players at GuyExpo XV

While China is expected to dominate overseas participation in Guyana’s fifteenth GuyExpo, this year’s October 3-6 event is likely to see significantly enhanced participation in the event from private sector entities in the region.

Guyana looks to international mining sector transparency standards

Government is seeking to bring the local mining sector under a greater measure of international scrutiny by subscribing to standards set out in the internationally renowned Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), Natural Resources and Environ-ment Minister Robert Persaud told the Stabroek Business earlier this week.
