Bartica flood recedes, CDC hands out hampers

Floodwater in Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni/Mazaruni) has receded and affected residents yesterday received relief hampers from the Civil Defence Commission (CDC).

Survivors of horrific Kairuni accident still critical

The two persons who were injured on Sunday night after a driver lost control of his car and plowed into them and others while they were sitting on the curbside of the road at Kairuni, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, are still in critical condition while post mortem examinations (PME) will be conducted today on the three persons who were killed.

CXC exams deferred by another two weeks

Exams for the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) are now scheduled to be administered from June 28th, 2021 following a further two-week delay.
