Stamp collecting club progresses to Philatelic Library

The Guyana Philatelic Library was officially opened yesterday with a ceremony that was held at the Guyana Post Office Corporation on North Street, Georgetown.

Plane with suspected drugs found at Orealla

Yesterday at about 4 pm,  ranks of the Guyana Police Force discovered a green and white aircraft bearing the number PT-SRR which landed at Orealla in the Corentyne, containing a suspected cargo of narcotics.

The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has named Zane Ramotar of Queen’s College as the top performer at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) at the regional level and he has also won two awards.

Henrietta labourer remanded over murder

A 43-year-old labourer was remanded to prison on Tuesday after he was charged with  murdering Essequibo resident, Kurt Stephney who succumbed last week more than a week after he was struck in his head.
