No August term examinations  – Ministry

The Ministry of Education in a memorandum yesterday advised regional education officers that no public or primary school is to conduct annual examinations in the August Term of 2024 because of the weeks of instruction lost and the limited number of weeks remaining.

Both the mother-in-law and the wife of convicted prisoner, Jose Awad, who escaped from the Lusignan Prison, East Coast Demerara on Tuesday afternoon, are currently in police custody assisting with investigation, as the search continues for him, a Guyana Prison Service (GPS) release stated yesterday.
