Ministry releases list of awardees for $14B works

Following a request by Stabroek News, the Ministry of Housing and Water has released the names of the awardees of nearly $14b worth of contracts in the housing and infrastructure sectors and a number of contractors have clinched multiple awards.

Gov’t optimistic CJIA expansion works to be done by deadline

As government yesterday expressed optimism that the Cheddi Jagan International Airport expansion project will be completed for the December 31 deadline as works are on track, it also announced that Chinese contractor China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) has already completed 90 per cent of outstanding issues it agreed to remedy last December.

UG kicks off graduation ceremonies

The University of Guyana (UG) last evening held the first of five convocation ceremonies for its 2019/2020 graduating class and President Irfaan Ali reiterated his government’s commitment to refashioning the tertiary institution.

AGM temporarily halts production at mine
