Drainage body procures over $525M in machinery

The National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) yesterday signed contracts amounting to over half a billion dollars for the procurement of machinery to aid in their mandate of improving drainage and irrigation across the country.

GuySuCo awards long-serving employees

Just shy of 100 Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) workers were yesterday honoured for their years of service to the company, which Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha said would be hiring some 3,000 persons as government moves to revive the industry.

Argentine expert visits sites where bodies of teens found

Director of the Argentine Team of Forensic Anthropology (EAAF) Dr. Luis Fondebrider, who is currently here to assess whether his team can assist the police with the murders of West Coast Berbice (WCB) cousins Isaiah and Joel Henry as well as Haresh Singh has visited the crime scenes and met with the families of the teenagers.
