Guyana’s tourist figures are on an upward trend with the Guyana Tourism Authority’s (GTA) Tourism Statistical Digest 2023 stating that the country is poised to welcome 350,000 visitors in 2024, reflecting a significant increase in its tourism sector, and proof that the country’s tourism industry has rebounded from the pandemic and surpassed its pre-pandemic visitor numbers.

Keron David,  a 27-year-old gold miner of Falls Top, North West District (NWD) in Region One, was charged yesterday with the murder of 22-year-old Royston Frank, which occurred between the 6th and 7th of November, 2021 at Big Creek Landing, NWD.

DPP advises manslaughter charge over killing of Jared Jagnandan

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has advised that the security guard involved in the shooting at Shaf Auto Sales, Lusignan, East Coast Demerara, that resulted in the  death of 18-year-old Jared Jagnandan on March 21, be charged with manslaughter at the earliest opportunity, Crime Chief, Wendell Blanhum stated yesterday.
