Draft engineering bill with Cabinet sub-committee

Less than three months after a request was made by the Guyana Association of Professional Engineers (GAPE) for an Engineering Bill to be considered by the Government, Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill has delivered a draft document for Cabinet Sub-Committee consideration.

GDF recruit passes away at GPHC

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) says  that a recruit who was undergoing Basic Recruit training, died yesterday morning at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

Ogle hotel developer giving up lands issued by NICIL

Ogle hotel developer, Caribbean Marketing Enterprises Inc (CMEI), yesterday announced that it would be relinquishing the controversial 21 acres of land that was transferred to it shortly before the March 2 general elections and said that it would reapply and hopes to find favour with the new administration.

Forty new COVID cases

Forty new COVID-19 cases were yesterday recorded. This was revealed in the Ministry’s COVID-19 dashboard which indicated that the 40 new cases that were recorded increased the total number of positive confirmed cases in the country to 5,276.
