Students can opt out of Grade Six exams

Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ingrid Trotman yesterday said that students who don’t want to sit the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) exams over the two-day course in July will not be forced to write the exam.

First flight with returning Guyanese due today

A flight from Miami to Georgetown is expected to land today with the first group of Guyanese who were approved to return home since the closure of the country’s airspace due to COVID-19 restrictions, de facto Minister of Public Infrastructure David Patterson has confirmed.

Harmon stands by election fraud claims, issues ultimatum to GECOM to act

Campaign Co-Chair of the APNU+AFC Coalition, Joseph Harmon  yesterday doubled down on claims that the March 2, 2020 General and Regional Elections were riddled with fraud before contending that the three-person scrutinizing team from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will in their report determine the credibility of the entire elections.
