GuySuCo unable to pay workers for July

The Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) is currently unable to pay workers their wages and salaries this month as it is still awaiting a disbursement of $750 million from government’s holding company, the National Industrial and Commercial Investments Limited (NICIL), a source close to the corporation has said.

Moruca COVID-19 outbreak stabilising since lockdown – APA rep

OAS member states call on Granger administration to allow peaceful transition

Members of the Organisation of the American States (OAS) this afternoon called for the David Granger administration to allow a peaceful transition of power in Guyana even as government representatives maintained that the process is still to be completed and the declaration by the GECOM Chair will be recognised once it is in accordance with the law.
