Fewer road deaths than last year so far

Marginally fewer deaths have been recorded on Guyana’s roadways to date for this year as compared to last year, Traffic Chief Senior Superintendent Linden Isles disclosed yesterday as he unveiled the Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Christmas policing plan for the roads.

Child rape convict appeals

Selwyn Lancaster, the Linden man who was sentenced to 15 years behind bars after being found guilty of raping and fondling a six-year-old, has moved to the Appeal Court to have the sentence overturned.
