GDF promotes 818

A total of 818 officers and ranks of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) have been promoted with effect from January 1, 2020, the GDF said in a press release last night.

Contract sealed for revamping of Linden call centre

The Ministry of Public Telecommunications and M&P Investments Incorporated have signed a $116 Million contract for the renovation of the old call centre in Linden.

GPL, NAACIE conclude wage pact

A Memorandum of Agreement for revised wages and salaries for Junior and Senior employees for the calendar year 2019 was signed yesterday between the Guyana Power and Light Incorporated (GPL) and the National Association of Agricultural, Commercial & Industrial Employees (NAACIE) at NAACIE’s Head Office in Kingston.

Bids opened for stelling pontoons

Tenders were yesterday opened for the construction and delivery of two pontoons for the Georgetown and Vreed-en-Hoop Ferry Stellings, both pontoons were estimated at just over $25 million.
