Region Six chairman urges NDCs to take up streetlight proposal

Region Six Regional Chairman David Armogan has urged the Neighbourhood Democratic Councils (NDC) to take Minister of Public Infrastructure, David Patterson, up on his statement when he said that NDCs can approach the Guyana Power and Light Inc (GPL) and offer to pay $300,000 per month to power 100 streetlights.

Flooding in City, East Coast

Residents around George-town and on parts of the East Coast of Demerara were left to battle early morning floodwaters yesterday, after intense and constant rainfall overnight left much of the city and its outskirts flooded.
