City Education Dep’t bats for Maths

The Georgetown Department of Education yesterday hosted a mathematics exhibition and walkathon as part of its efforts to ensure that pupils excel in the subject.

Josh Jailall, of the Swami Pumanda Primary School, has won the Region Four Primary-level’s Spelling Bee competition.

Cops promoted for bravery

Two police officers, who were recently injured in the line of duty, were on Thursday promoted by Commissioner of Police Leslie James for their bravery.

The report, ‘Lawyer for drug accused ex-cop wants minister as witness in extradition hearing,’ which appeared in our June 6th, 2019 edition, erroneously identified attorney Keoma Griffith as one of the attorneys representing the accused, Shaun Darcy Nebblett.
