The Police say they are investigating the death of Kareema Mary Cholmondeley, 18, of lot 10 BB GEC Scheme, Hugh Ghanie Park, Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara, who was yesterday about 22:30hrs struck down by a motorcar on the Turkeyen Railway Embankment, E.C.D.

Female taxi driver was strangled – autopsy

Indira Bipat, the West Demerara taxi driver who was discovered dead in a clump of bushes at Lust-en-Rust, Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara (WBD) on Sunday morning, died as a result of strangulation, compounded by blunt trauma to the head.

President still to submit 2018 declaration to Integrity Commission

Acknowledging that members of Cabinet ought to comply with the law and declare their assets and liabilities to the Integrity Commission, President David Granger today disclosed that “challenges” have caused a delay in the submission of his 2018 declaration and assured that he is currently working to rectify this.

Second suspect nabbed over Bagotstown murder

One day after a labourer was remanded to prison for the murder of 20-year-old Patrick Fraser, who was shot while liming with friends at an abandoned house in Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara, the police have nabbed a second suspect.
