More than 1000 to benefit from Green economy training in Canada scheme

Some 1,080 persons are set to benefit from capacity building training in a variety of areas when the Skills to Access the Green Eco-nomy (SAGE) programme is implemented in Guyana.

Husband charged with Zaila Sugrim’s murder

Ryan Sugrim, the businessman who admitted to killing his wife Zaila Sugrim, whose decomposed body was found in a shallow grave in the lot next to his La Union, West Coast Demerara home on Tuesday afternoon, is expected to appear in court today charged with her murder.

Mystery illness ravages Muscovy ducklings

A mysterious illness has ravaged Muscovy flocks along the coast and the Guyana Livestock Development Authority’s (GLDA) hatchery has been closed until further notice because of the increased mortality rate observed, particularly among the ducklings.
