Justice moved swiftly in the case of a 36-year-old security officer of Buxton, who was yesterday sentenced to two years in prison for possession of 15 live AK-47 ammunition rounds when he appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.

Sarah Bacchus Arjoon, a 56-year-old saleswoman from Lot 755 Recht-door-Zee, was murdered yesterday, allegedly by her husband Khemraj Arjoon, 69, who later died at the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he had been admitted under guard after ingesting a poisonous substance.
