Cops destroy ganja fields at Hururu Backdam

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force on Monday during a four-hour eradication operation in the Berbice River, destroyed several fields of cannabis cultivation with plants measuring from a foot to four feet in height.

Lethem to have sanitary landfill

The landfill facility at Lethem, Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo will soon be transformed into a sanitary landfill site, Senior Environmental Engineer attached to the Ministry of Communities, Satrohan Nauth disclosed recently, according to the Department of Public Information (DPI) .
