Air defence capacity among areas discussed with US Major General

Guyana’s air defence capacity was among areas discussed with a visiting US Air Force Major General.

Guyana’s Ambassador to Venezuela accredited

Dr. Richard Van West-Charles on Friday presented his Letters of Credence to  Yvan Gil, Minister for People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Guyana, Dutch militaries underline importance of maritime training

Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Chief of Staff, Brigadier Omar Khan, recently welcomed the Kingdom of the Netherlands’ Defence Attaché for Suriname and Guyana, Commander (Navy) Geordie Klein, for a courtesy call at Defence Headquarters, Base Camp Ayanganna and the two sides underlined the primacy of maritime training.

Man gets four years for large amount of cannabis

Sean Thomas appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court on Friday and was found guilty of two counts of possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking to wit 121.831 kgs and 2.672 kgs of cannabis respectively.
