Exxon ahead of schedule on doubling LNG portfolio, exec says

HOUSTON, (Reuters) – Exxon Mobil is ahead of schedule with its plan to double the size of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) portfolio to 40 million tons per annum (mtpa) by 2030 and will focus on selling its own gas rather than trading that of third parties, the company’s LNG chief said on Thursday.

Three years jail for cannabis

Leonard Bristol on Friday appeared before Magis-trate Faith Mc Gusty at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where he was sentenced to three  years imprisonment and fined 10,492,200 in relation to the offence of possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking to wit 11.65 8kgs of cannabis, a release from the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit said.

Former head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Dr. Vincent Adams has retained the services of a lawyer and is seeking damages and an apology from Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Gail Teixeira for “false and defamatory remarks” made at a public hearing at the 140th session of the UN Human Rights Committee (CCPR).

The police say they are investigating the murder of Courtney Younge, a 56-year-old labourer of Lot 643 ‘D’ Field Sophia, which occurred at about 20:30hrs on Thursday at Lot 636 ‘D’ Field Sophia at the hands of a man who was armed with a shotgun.
