Mahdia man nabbed with suspected marijuana

Police ranks in Regional Division #8 conducted a cordon-and-search exercise on Thursday night at the Mahdia Arcade, where they stopped and searched Julian Hodge, called ‘Gully’, a 30-year-old Miner of Seven Miles Mahdia, Potaro, who was found with 13.8 grammes of suspected marijuana in his possession.

At about 17:00hrs yesterday, Chief Inspector Lyte was in charge of an Anti-Crime Patrol on Grove Public Road, East Bank Demerara, when the patrol observed a Toyota Tacoma vehicle bearing registration number PYY 9229 driving dangerously in the vicinity of Jimbo bridge, Grove.

Consumer affairs body launches Artificial Intelligence agent

The Competition and Consumer Affairs Commission (CCAC) in collaboration with the Department of Consumer Affairs yesterday launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI) agent named “Damion” with whom consumers can communicate via the Commission’s WhatsApp number 625-0557 on a 24-hour basis to source consumer protection information.
