Herstelling man charged with fleecing woman of $13M

A Herstelling engineer   was yesterday granted $500,000 bail by a city court after it was alleged that he, over a two-year period, falsely obtained $13 million from a woman to deliver a range of services, including building a house and hiring a private investigator.

Man for trial over Black Bush wedding house murder

Murder accused  Navendra Basdeo alias Pone, was yesterday committed to stand trial at the next sitting of the Berbice Assizes following the end of a Preliminary Inquiry into the unlawful killing of Karran Sukdeo, called Vishal ,  on August 23, 2014, at a wedding house at Johanna , Black Bush Polder, Corentyne.
