Fire service removes fallen tree from Agricola house

The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) on Sunday, November 12, 2023, responded to an emergency special service at Lot 96 Back Half Second Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara, where a tree had fallen on a two-story wooden and concrete building owned by Sandra Timothy of Lot 96 Front Half, Second Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara.

Court must act to stop annexation of Essequibo

Calling the referendum which Venezuela intends to hold on December 3rd, over its claim to Essequibo, an “existential threat ” to its sovereignty and territorial integrity, Guyana yesterday argued at the ICJ in the Hague that Caracas was seeking to evade the jurisdiction of the court and its acts of aggression are intended to lay the path for annexation.
