NAMILCO unveils $1.6b mixer plant

Over $1b in marijuana destroyed in Upper Berbice

Following an operation yesterday in the Upper Berbice by ranks of the Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Defence Force (Coast Guard), 30 lbs of cannabis seeds, and 10 acres with approximately 58,000 cannabis sativa plants ranging from three inches to ten feet in height were found.

Region Five to get $1b in road upgrades

The Ministry of Public Works on Tuesday signed 21 contracts worth $1 billion to rehabilitate 25 roads in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice), according to the Department of Public Information (DPI).
